AROUND 30 people abseiled down the tower at Tattershall Castle to raise money towards the upkeep of the magnificent medieval National Trust building
More than £1,000 has been raised through sponsorship from the event.
Property manager Stuart Crow said: "It went really well. There were a lot of people watching their friends and family and the weather was nice."
The money will go towards various projects at the castle to keep it in good condition. It costs around £250,000 a year to keep the castle open, according to Mr Crow.
This year, the funds will go towards restoring the castle roof for the winter and work on the moat.
