24/09/08 - Darren Darby rally raises £760

A RALLY in aid of the Darren Darby Memorial Fund held at the Thorpe Camp Visitors Centre on September 14 made more than £760 for the charity.
Family and friends of the late firefighter welcomed 72 vehicles in the rally and held a raffle, tombola, cake stall and auction. The Darby family would like to thank all who supported the event including the Thorpe Camp Visitors Centre committee for their hospitality, Jim and Penny Bowen of Penny's Place, and a special thanks to Dr Yvonne Owen of Lives.
