CORONAVIRUS: Council scraps summer events due to virus
The council has issued a statement saying that events including the Party in the Park, the Teenage Market, Boston Show, and other events in June, July and August have been cancelled.
A spokesperson said: "We would like to inform you, that due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, it is with regret that Boston Borough Council, Boston Big Local and Boston Town Area Committee have had to make the difficult decision to cancel the following upcoming events:
• Craft & Gift Markets 28 May, 25 June and 30 July
• Teenage Market 4 July
• Boston Show 4 & 5 July
• Get Cycling Roadshow 24 July

Hide Ad• Party in the Park 25 July (A 2021 date will be worked up with our partners - tickets can be transferred to this new date, we will be in touch very soon)
• Active Boston 7 August
• Focused beach sessions for July & August – Fun in the Sun/Back in Time and Golden Time
• Boston Beach days – 13 & 14 August
• Boston beach will not on site for July and August as has been in previous years.
"We have taken this decision in the light of the current situation; we will be contacting and working with our contractors, sponsors and event support staff to deliver a reduced events programme depending on circumstances later.
