Fiona takes over reins at Rotary

HORNCASTLE Rotary Club welcomed its new president Fiona Martin to the annual handover dinner, held this year at the town's Bull Hotel.
The second woman to hold the office in the club’s 34-year history, she is also a past chairman of East Lindsey District Council and has served four terms as mayor of Horncastle.

Mrs Martin paid tribute to outgoing president Mike Wakelin and thanked him on behalf of members for an excellent year in which the club had achieved much in the local community.

She also expressed thanks to outgoing treasurer Roy Knox and to guest Judy Theobald, of Radio Lincolnshire, for her continued support especially as compere of the annual Christmas concert.

The club’s other officers for the forthcoming Rotary year are: president-elect Paul Scott, vice-president Jill Scott, secretary Mike Rinfret and treasurer Margaret Sergeant.
