PROVOCATIVE photographic artists will be exhibiting their work at All Saints Church Goulceby this Bank Holiday weekend in a show called Cycles of Creation.
Fine Art graduate Alexandra Taylor from Donington on Bain will join internationally established Jo Holland from London for another innovative display of talent.

Both take the art of photography to another level, challenging the normal techniques used to create interesting images.

The show has been organised between churches in the Asterby Parish and the art community to bring exciting exhibitions to small, rural churches

Alexandra Taylor has worked and exhibited across the country.

Photographing trees and nature, she uses the traditional darkroom method to develop the images and then transforms them with digital technology to alter people's interpretation.

This exhibition will see her recent experimentation with polaroid film.

London-based Jo Holland works on the border between painting and photography.

She chooses images of natural beauty such as fresh flowers and Chinese pears and more grotesque images like sheep and pig's eyes and lamb hearts.

No camera or negatives are used, which goes against most contemporary photographic practice. The exhibition will take place on August 23, 24 and 25, between 10am and 5pm.
