I am the chief executive it will come as no surprise
I have just got myself a £30 thousand rise
Who cares about the workers? They can get the sack
As long as me and the councillors are all right Jack.
Rising prices and inflation creeping up
What is ELDC's answer? A flipping pay cut.
Morale building workforce management - what a silly joke!
The Audit Commission will find they are a pig in a poke.
The sanctimonious councillor prating on his grand stand
Some of these people are drawing more than 20 grand
It really must be for them such an awful strain
Sucking the council taxpayer dry on the gravy train

Send back the false award. Do not make us laugh
