24/09/08 - I was treated awfully in town!

EDITOR - I wonder if you would be interested in my account of how I was treated in the High Street in Horncastle On Tuesday September 16 I had a appointment at the opticians in the High Street.
I am severely disabled with Parkinson 's disease and only able to walk a few yards on crutches.
As my wife pulled up outside the opticians, a large lorry came from the Bull Ring and could not get through because there was a large delivery lorry outside the Co-Op.
Before my wife had a chance to get out of the car to come and help me out, the lorry driver started to blast his horn and shout and wave his fist at my wife.
I held up my blue parking badge and tried to indicate we would only be a moment or two. As it was the delivery lorry pulled away before I got to the opticians door.
I said to the lady from the opticians, who held the door open for me, perhaps one day that maniac driver will be disabled himself, then he will understand.
I would be delighted to be able to go to a car park and be able to walk to the shops
