EDITOR - On September 13 at about 8.10pm we were at Willow Holt caravan site, Lodge Lane, Tattershall, when we saw dozens upon dozens of large spherical red lights drifting across the evening sky from east to west.
There was a large white light and a smaller white light at the back which seemed to be controlling the red lights.
There was no sound at all, ie not fireworks or aircraft.
The red lights came in waves. There were about 20 or so to start with, then a pause, then a further 20 or so.
This went on for nearly half an hour.
It was a calm clear evening and the lights just seemed to vanish, they never broke up as fireworks would do.
My son tried to take a photograph of the lights on his camera phone but they didn't show up.
One of my neighbours tried to tune into the local radio to see if anyone had reported anything similar locally but the station mysteriously went off.
There were at least eight people on the caravan site who saw these lights.
