FIREFIGHTERS in Horncastle helped raise more than £300 at a charity car wash.
The event, held at the town’s Tesco on Saturday, was in support of the Fire Fighters Charity - the organisation which helps injured firefighters back to work.
It was also a chance to raise motorists’ awareness of home fire safety, as part of The Autoglym National Car Wash Day.
After six hours of shampoo and polish, the crew from Horncastle - as well as generous drivers - had raised £340.41 for the charity.
