TWO revolvers have been stolen in a raid on a Woodhall Spa gun shop.
The Pietta 44 calibre and Eurolion (a colt 45 replica) percussion revolvers were among the items taken in a burglary at MGR Guns in Witham Road last Saturday night.

Det Con Debra Charlesworth from Boston CID who is investigating the burglary said: "In the hands of an amateur, these guns could be lethal."

A rear window was forced in the break-in. The guns were taken from a safe, along with some cash.

Around 35 tubs and tubes containing 400 ball bearing (BB) pellets were also stolen from the shop, along with around 100 brass carbon dioxide (CO2) cylinders suitable for air pistols.

Police do not believe that any ammunition for the revolvers was stolen.
"I am extremely concerned that somebody may have wrongly mistaken the revolvers for BB guns," Det Con Charlesworth added.

The guns have serial numbers and should be easily identifiable, police have said.

The brass CO2 cylinders measure 3.25in x 0.5in. The BB pellets are contained in two types of containers - red tubs bearing the words 'Sporting Marketing' and yellow and blue cardboard tubes marked 'Max Speed - Daisy'.

Information to Det Con Charlesworth at Boston CID on 01205 312236 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
