HATTON Village Hall is to be used for the very last time on Friday September 26 when the annual Harvest Supper is to be held following the Harvest Thanksgiving Service at St Stephen's Church.
The small community has kept the hall going for occasional use for a number of years but it has reached the stage where insurance costs have increased to the extent that it is difficult to raise the funds to cover the payments.

There are also fewer people available to help with the upkeep and while there was a good attendance at the meeting held to consider the future of the hall it was reluctantly agreed that it would have to close.

The Harvest Festival is at 7pm and the supper follows at approximately 8pm to 8.30pm All are welcome to join in the celebration of the harvest while also paying a fond farewell to the hall as a community building- for further details please contact Mrs Mary Merivale on 01673 858321.
