Updated 4pm Wednesday - A SCHOOL bus and a Smart car have been involved in an accident just off the A158.
The accident happened at about 8.30am this morning (Wednesday) in Hoop Lane, Langton by Wragby.

No injuries needing medical treatment have been reported but a boy received a bump to the head.

Police said there were 40 children on the bus - a Leyland double decker on its way to Horncastle from Wragby.

They are from Banovallum School and Queen Elizabeth Grammar School (QEGS) in Horncastle and aged between 12 and 16-years-old.

Head teacher at Banovallum School, Ian Carroll, said: "They were really well behaved and waited patiently for the replacement bus to arrive."

Tim Peacock, headteacher at QEGS, said: "It was a relatively minor road accident which the police attended.

"No pupils were hurt and I'm pleased that the pupils did all the right things, remained calm and contacted the school."

Police said the car driver is from the Skegness area and was left shaken by the incident but not injured.
