Barlborough: Remembrance service for World War One heroes this weekend
The Barlborough Heroes Weekend will take place at the Heritage Centre on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd August from 11am-4pm.
The two-day festival will have free activities on offer including theatrical performances of After the Flags on both days from midday and a children’s short performance titled The Christmas Truce.

Hide AdA cinema marquee will stream World War One films and documentaries. Barlborough Heritage’s research will be presented in a marquee.
There will also be an old fashioned Punch and Judy show, traditional children’s games, a trench exhibit, a wash day exhibit, a memorial and an old tea room, sweet shop and wartime sing-a-long.
Professor Brian Stone will be giving talks, Author Steve Morse will be signing his book about The Sherwood Foresters.
