From today (Monday, April 19), residents with trailers will be able to visit the Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRC) in Lincolnshire on any open day.

Time slots still need to be booked via the Click and Tip website, but it is hoped that this will give residents more flexibility to use the sites.

Mike Reed, waste services at Lincolnshire County Council, explains: “We’d like to thank residents for sharing their thoughts and experiences with us - so we can see what systems are working well and which areas we can improve.

“Based on feedback, we’ve made a number of changes to make the sites better – so accepting general waste, recycling and green waste on any open day, and adding almost 7,000 more timeslots and now, residents using trailers will be allowed on any open day.”

Residents who have vans and larger trailers will still need a permit to access a HWRC in the county.
