Lincolnshire County Council announced earlier this year that as part of its budget proposals, it wanted to cut around £2.2m from its transport budget.
That left the threat of the axe hanging over around 170 routes, including many in rural areas.

Hide AdAlmost 5,000 people signed a petition against the cuts and Mr Fowler helped secure 1,000 of those signatures in the Wolds area.
The opposition led to Whitehall handing Lincolnshire an extra £7.7m - and meant a reprieve for many routes. But, as Mr Fowler points out, some routes were lost and he fears others will be axed as current contracts run out over the coming months.
