WRAGBY finally got their league season under way on Sunday with a 15 goal demolition of East Coast.

The game started evenly with neither team really covering themselves with glory.

It was creative midfielder Alex Linder who finally broke the deadlock when he was on hand to steer the ball past the keeper after Sam Bennett's shot had come back off the bar.

A second soon followed when Dan Waters scored his first goal of the season with a blistering drive from 25 yards.

The rest of the half was all about Sam and Dan as they both combined to allow Dan to score three more before half time.

Having not really played well in the first half the manager called for more effort in the second and the team certainly responded.

Sam helped himself to five goals and Dan added his fifth.

With the impressive midfield duo of James Lowman and James Telfer scoring their first goals of the season and Tim Goy wrapping up the game with a brace the game couldn't finish soon enough for East Coast.

There will be tougher games ahead for Wragby not least next week when the take on early league leaders Ermine.
