Participants only need to provide their own bait and tackle.

The event, on 26th May at Lakeside Fishery, will have a 4pm draw and fishing between 4pm and 8.30pm.

We must reiterate that even though we will be there ,under 14s must be accompanied by a parent/guardian for the whole time and that entrants 12 years and over must be in possession of a current environment agency rod licence.

As mentioned last week this event has always proved extremely popular and we only have a limited number of pegs available so please book early to avoid disappointment.

Finally can we again remind you that the envireonment agency fishing licences were due from 1st April.

We have heard through the grapevine that there have been a number of people in Notts that have already been caught without one and we would not like anyone from our area to join them through an oversight.

THE latest round of the Langold Lake spring league ws competed on Sunday where all the top three employed the groundbait feeder laced with worm and caster: 1st Paul Unwin peg 31 38lb 5oz, 2nd Pete Donovan peg 36 31lb 4oz, 3rd Mark Woodcock peg 13 24lb 7oz.

COMMERCIAL ROUND-UP

STARTING at Riverside Fishery in Tuesday’s contest: 1st Andy Hunt peg 38 24lb 8oz wag and mag, 2nd John Bleakley peg 43 13lb 9oz bomb and mea.

In Friday’s match: 1st Terry Pixley peg 43 24lb 10oz pole fished maggot, 2nd Pete Haywood peg 27 21lb 9oz feeder and corn.

Saturdays open: 1st Pete Ware peg 10 30lb 12oz pole and pellet, 2nd Paul Brazier peg 32 22lb 9oz pole and meat.

At the Lakeside complex in Wednesday’s event: 1st Glen Greasley peg 8 94lb 3oz maggot feeder and pole and pellet.

Fridays open competion: 1st Mark Holmes peg 29 54lb 11oz pole and pellet.

Saturday’s winter league: 1st Carl Sweatnam peg 12 63lb 9oz pole fished caster.

Sundays spring league: 1st Steve Forster peg 12 83lb 11oz pole and caster.

On the carp lake John Thomson landed four lumps which included a specimen common of 23lb 14 oz from peg 3 on pineapple boilies.
