Match ball used as Boston United won Conference title up for auction

Boston United fans are being offered the chance to get their hands on an important piece of the club’s history.
The match ball which was used as the Pilgrims beat Hayes 2-0 to clinch the 2001-02 Nationwide Conference title has been put up for auction.

Hide AdSimon Weatherstone and Ray Warburton found the net in front of thousands of travelling fans as Boston secured the title in a tense finale, pipping Dagenham and Redbridge on goal difference.
The Mitre Ultimax ball was donated to the club by fan Andy Robinson and was put up on auction site ebay last night.
