COUNCIL – Memorials in the cemetery are causing concern as some have fallen. A tender received from a company last year is to be followed up.

The work is considered urgent but priority had to be given to digging out a dyke on the order of East Lin
dsey District Council in an attempt to alleviate flooding during heavy rainfall. The dyke was overflowing onto a public footpath.
The street light on Enfield Road is now working again and hopefully the holly bush obscuring it will be cut back shortly.

Negotiations continue with a view to keeping the dog waste bin on the public footpath off Enfield Road as it was solving the problem of having bags of waste hung on the pumping station fence.

An inspection by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents has highlighted insecure goals as a hazard on the Multi Use Games Area.
Chains are to be bought to enable them to be padlocked to the sides.

The basket ball stand was removed from the recreation area as recommended by ROSPA and the council is to place it away from the play equipment for young children and secure it to the ground.
