DOG dancing, martial arts displays and lots of other fun activities were enjoyed at the Bardney Gala over the Bank Holiday weekend.

The annual event, organised by Bardney Playgroup, a registered charity, raised around £850.

An arena area was created on the playing field and featured a variety of entertainment, including dancing dogs and martial arts displays from Centurion Martial Arts in Coningsby – a kickboxing and taekwondo academy
There was also face painting and a car boot sale.

Hayley Ruane, manager of the playgroup, said: "The dog dancing was particularly popular and lots of buyers and sellers turned up for the car boot sale."

The money will go towards the general running costs of the playgroup and a new fenced off waiting area for the parents, she said.
