17/09/08 - Wragby: Monthly family bingo raises £150 for church funds

BINGO - Yvonne Blackburn was caller at the monthly Saturday Night Family Bingo in the Town Hall.
£150.76 was raised for the refurbishing fund. Cards were checked by Margaret Kane and Kathy Lowe, the raffle was run by Margaret Sutton and Elsie Crow.
Family bingo is organised by Margaret Kane on behalf of Wragby WI with help from the Town Hall Committee and thanks go to all for their support.
REVAMP - Upholstery classes start in Wragby Town Hall on Tuesday September 23 organised by Lesley Leonard.
Those attending can transform worn out and well loved furniture and give it a new lease of life.
Lesley welcomes students at all levels from
beginners upwards.
There are two sessions from 9.30am to 12noon and from 12.30pm to 3pm.

POOL - Wragby Swimming Pool installed a disabled access ladder after three generous and much appreciated donations.
It should make getting into and out of the pool easier for many of the disabled swimmers who use the pool.
The donations came from Lincolnshire Co-operative, the British Cardiac Association and a private donor.
New stairs will be in place for the Over 60's sessions every Monday and Wednesday morning from 10.30am and at other times by request.
Don't forget the sponsored swim on Saturday September 27 from 2pm to raise funds for the pool.
It is open to people of all ages and abilities. Those taking part can swim as many lengths as they wish - if you are interested please leave your name and contact details with Martin at the pool and pick up a sponsor form.

JUMBLE - A jumble sale held at Wragby Town Hall on Saturday September 6 raised a total of £242.50 for St Oswald's Church, Rand nr Wragby.

CHRISTMAS - Plans are being made for this year's annual Wragby Christmas Market on Saturday December 13 from 5pm to 8pm, organised by the Wragby Joint Uniformed HQ Management Committee.
Stalls are available and should be booked early to guarantee a pitch. For information contact Andrea Ward on 01673 858302.
Wragby Methodist Church will be the venue for the Festival of Garlands and Christmas Trees on December 13 and 14. Call Ann Lambert 01673 857515 for more details.

CRAFT GROUP - The weather was not very summery when members of the Wragby branch of Disability Lincs Tuesday morning craft group travelled to Chambers farm Wood for their annual picnic, but the refurbished premises available provide ideal indoor facilities.
When the sun did shine, many took the opportunity of a stroll or a wheel around the butterfly garden and sat on the seats available enjoying the flowers.
Olive Paul expressed thanks to those who had prepared and served the meal and the raffle was drawn before all returned home.
