24/09/08 - Mareham le Fen: Sporting action for primary pupils

SPORTS – Pupils at Mareham le Fen Primary School enjoyed a sports week last week. It was organised by head teacher Avril Moores with a different sport to try each day including cricket, gymnastics, rugby and more.
A fun run took place on Wednesday to raise money for school funds.
Tracey Walker, the school administrator, said: "The children have thoroughly enjoyed it."

BRAINS – The annual quiz for the Brains of Mareham Trophy takes place in the village hall on October 4 with doors opening at 6.45pm.
The quiz is preceded by a fish and chip supper. Teams for the quiz can be up to six people at £5.50 per person.

MUSIC – Live theatre comes to the village hall at 7.30pm on Tuesday October 14 when Craig Schneider presents S'Wonderful, a tribute to George and Ira Gershwin performed by the Craig Schneider Trio.
Craig, in addition to being a classically trained pianist, songwriter, arranger and bandleader is also musical director for the West End show The Rat Pack Live at Las Vegas.

CRAFT – The annual craft fair takes place on Sunday November 2 at the village hall from 10.30am-4.30pm.
