24/09/08 - West Ashby: Bingo raises £314 for Ambucopter

BINGO - A total of £314 was raised at a bingo session at West Ashby village hall for the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.

WI - West Ashby WI has formed a sub committee to arrange speakers for next year.
Joan Featherstone has volunteered to look into the possibility of getting lottery funding for courses at Denman College.
There will be a home made card comeptition at the next meeting.
Joan Marshall has written a letter to WI Life Magazine regarding the amount of advertising and inserts in this publication, voicing concerns over their carbon footprint.
She is waiting for a reply.
Nigel Wrisdale of Jackson's Butchers in Louth will be the speaker at next month's meeting with a talk on meat preparation.
This month's speaker was Celia Hornsey speaking about stones and how to use them to make jewellery.
Linda Diggins won the raffle and the competition was won by Chrisandra D'Arcy.
