WRAGBY Primary School's new head teacher, Kate Hodson, has said she is absolutely loving her new job.
Mrs Hodson said she has settled in well since she took over from Roger Holbrook at the beginning of the September term.
Mrs Hodson is the first female head teacher at the school since it was built in 1968.
Children used to attend the national school next to the church before it was built.
Mrs Hodson has moved from Kirton Primary School where she was the deputy head teacher for seven years.
"Everyone has been really friendly and welcoming so far," she said.
Mrs Hodson has already started to plan some curriculum weeks, to focus on particular subjects.
Two coffee mornings have been organised at the school to give parents the opportunity to meet the new head teacher. The first will be on September 30 at 8.45am and the second on October 1 at 2.45pm – both in the school hall.
RAINBOWS - The 1st Wragby Rainbows resumed their weekly meetings on September 8 when they celebrated the 20th birthday of the unit.
Having returned from the long summer break, they have welcomed four new members who, with the existing girls, will enjoy a full and varied programme planned up to Christmas.
Seats have already been booked for the Rainbows and Brownies to make their annual visit to the pantomime Snow White in Lincoln.
There are still a few places available at Wragby Rainbows and if anyone is interested, they should ring the unit guider, Andrea Ward, on 01673 858302.

Perhaps you have just a few hours each week that you would like to put to good use.
To help or for more information call in at the centre or ring 01673 857444.
COFFEE – Wragby Resource Centre is supporting the Macmillan Cancer Support World's Biggest Coffee Morning with an event from 2pm to 5pm on Friday September 26. All welcome.
