Sleaford band set to play their first gig
The Mayburns are made up of Mark Ward on bass guitar, Sam Milton on vocals, Ryan Newman on guitar and Aiden Betts on drums.
Their name is inspired by The Mabern, which used to be a popular club in Sleaford Market Place in the 1960s.

“We’re hoping to shake things up and bring back a real live music scene to Sleaford.”
The band was started two years ago by Mark and Sam.
Mark said: “Sam had the words and needed the tunes, I had the tunes but needed words.”
They wrote their first two songs together Wasting Away (It’s Not All About) and State of Mind.

Other songs they have written include Our Time Has Come, and Stay On Your Side, which can be found on Soundcloud.
Mark said: “We didn’t have a plan other than to do what we love the most and that’s writing and making music.
“The best feeling is turning ideas and feelings into songs, and with Ryan and Aiden we’ve been able to bring these songs to life as well as having two great musicians who have made everything fall into place.”
