WEIGHT Watchers from Woodhall Spa handed over a total of £320 to the Woodhall Spa First Responders on Tuesday.

Two cheques were handed over in a presentation at the Golf Hotel, the Weight Watchers' weekly meeting place.

A donation of £250 was given by Weight Watcher Dorothy Wilkinson who took part in the Woodhall Fun Run on Sunday June 1.

Another cheque for £70 was raised by a sponsored walk around Woodhall Spa carried out by the group in May.
Weight Watchers leader Jacqui Kitchen was proud to hand over the money to a worthwhile cause. "It was fabulous," she said.
"They have to raise their own money and we were happy to help them along. I always encourage the ladies to fundraise and we like to give to local causes."
Woodhall Spa Weight Watchers meet every Tuesday at 6.30pm in the Golf Hotel.

Jacqui also has a group in Coningsby which runs every Monday in the community centre at 6.30pm. Details: 01526 354175
