17/09/08 - Bill's painting to to help Poppy Appeal funds

WOODHALL Spa's branch of the Royal British Legion will raffle off a painting donated by Bill Radley at its Remembrance Sunday lunch on November 11.
Proceeds will go towards the Poppy Appeal and tickets for the lunch are available from branch secretary John Egleton on 01526 353660.
At the group's September meeting members heard more volunteers are needed for Poppy Appeal collections.
Anyone who can help should contact Nina Gaunt on 01526 352384.
Nina is the branch Poppy Appeal organiser and told members £58 had been raised at the recent car boot sale.
Andrew Cullum entertained those present with songs from the 50s to the 70s and had members joining in with a variety of instruments.
Andrew returns for the RBL's next meeting on October 14 when he will give a slideshow about his work at Longleat.
The raffle was organised by Linda Aitkin and Cyril Hawkins and raised £63.
The branch AGM takes place on November 11 at 7 30pm followed by a talk and slide show of Lincolnshire war memorials by Mike Credland.
Meetings are held at on the second Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm at the Woodhall Spa Conservative Club in Spa Road.
