GERRY Burrows entertained members of Woodhall Spa Afternoon WI with an amusing slide show called Grandma's Kitchen.
Although this was a history of kitchens and kitchen equipment from Roman Times to the present day, many members recalled using Dolly Tubs and Flat Irons with great hilarity.
Kitchen gadget competition winners were: 1 Doreen Allars, 2 Doreen Holmes, 3 Josie Selby.
Flower of the Month winners were: 1 Joan Harrison, 2 Pat Maltby 3 Margaret Hamilton.
Tickets were available for the Waring Group Meeting, a flower arranging demonstration by Nick Grounds at Banovallum School on Wednesday October 29.
Other upcoming activities include Greet, Grub and Grumble at Cherry Willingham on October 30, a chance to meet federation chairman Jackie Cheetham and exchange views on the WI over lunch, making Christmas Wreaths at East Barkwith on December 1 with Ann Barnes, a shopping trip to Norwich with the Evening WI on October 21 and a visit to the Harrogate Knit and Stitch Show on November 20 with the Horncastle Craft Group.
Spa Afternoon WI meets on the first Friday of the month in St Peter's Hall, Woodhall Spa at 2pm. Visitors and new members always welcome.
